In the morning we decided to head out to seek out more about the White Rasp. We headed to the person who made the job posting.
Turns out is was the owner of a local group called the "Greybeard logging company". We go inside and are met with a large orc at the door who let us in once we told him we were here for the job with the White Rasp. We head to the back after he pointed out to us to talk to a man named Bill. Chael took point and spoke with him. He talked with him and inquired about the details and regarding mercantile affairs. Bill explained that they have been "harassed" by this Rasp and wanted them dealt with. Chael explained that we would deal with it and we left, getting led there by one of the loggers.
The logger mentions that there doesn't seem to be much of a pattern to the White Rasp's behavior. They would show up out of nowhere at times with dangerous animals. Usually in the middle of getting prepped the Rasp will either directly attack or set off booby traps or sic its pets on them. As we arrived we saw the White Rasp appear and sent a pair of dire rabbits on the loggers. They didn't seem to be trying to hurt the loggers, just scare them off and break their equipment. After they cleared out the loggers Harper spoke with the White Rasp. They told us that the loggers should have their own territory and are encroaching on Rasp lands, beyond the agreed area. Turns out the Rasps here have an agreement with the town for logging in only specific areas. We were told "A small lady with the red hair makes deals with Rasps". These new loggers, the Greyboards, have been cutting down where they shouldn't be it for a long time. Possibly weeks. The Greyboards apparently don't have an agreement with them so we wanted to go talk to the Rasps to broker a peace and hopefully get a deal set.
A "Dragon Sill" is leader of the Rasps, which checks out with what we heard the other day. To meet them Harper offered up a piece of platinum as a shiny which the White Rasp accepted. They mentioned it takes about two days to get there. So we piled into Chael's cart and headed out with the White Rasp leading the way.
Today's part trip was uneventful. People talking amongst themselves or otherwise taking time for some much needed rest. Overall we're not even halfway there, so we've still got a ways to go.
