Rocky mountain island with a large black mountain with smoke billowing from the peak as we start our journey across the Immortal Ocean off the coast of Chankata.
Ship looks to be mainly run by small waist high stone creatures, covered in barnacles and moss. Don't seem to have a face. A cylinder with a black hole for the head and face. They're golems that seem to only follow Captain Kitri's commands.
We have a 2 week journey to Corshoula in Lanali weather permitting. If all goes well we'll arrive by 18th of Uthwix.
I'm aware there are two seasons to sea-faring. The Wild season and the Still season. We're lucky that we're in the middle months of the Still Season. From Yoweth to Charr Ixen is the Wild Season.
We discover that Corshoula has Lendin College in it which might be a good place to start with our research.
I managed to succeed with my Divine Intervention to assist Wodric.
Before bed I used Scrying to try see Wodric. I get a flash of Wodric lying down in a stone chamber, with people around him, other dwarves some that I recognize. Looks to be one of the medical wings in Osterforge.
I messaged one of the Dwarves I know, he told me Wodric had followed a Dueragar incursion. A trap laid by the Daraghoul, only Wodric came back alive.
Daraghoul reside in part of the Underdark. Not usually an issue. The most I know they are a quieter race of beings, essentially an intelligent/sentient version of ghouls that have made their homes in the quieter areas of the Underdark.
The first full day of travel goes by without a hitch, we actually manage to catch a current which knocks a day off our total travel time.
The second full day of travel, Captain Kitri points out in the distance that we're getting closer to Crossroads Knight. As we get closer, we notice that it's a hand with a huge sword hundreds of feet tall. A gigantic statue that stems from the bottom of the ocean floor.
We see off the horizon another ship coming our direction. Slightly larger than our ship, big damage holes in the side of it. A grey blueish skinned Orc shouts out at us "Have any of you come across a large white shark?". Said they were hunting it.
The next day we crest into Ol' Wundul's territory, the winds are favourable and we knock another day off our travel.
On the 7th day of travel we notice some 50 bloated bodies in the water as we sail through. All had their blood taken.
On the 8th day of travel we pass by a small island which isn't charted on Kitri's map. A light rain starts falling, has a slight pink haze to it. As it hits my skin I feel a sense of relaxing and calming.
In the evening I have a strange tingling in my feet and tips of fingers which is weird. I go to sleep hoping this feeling wavers.
I find myself dreaming, mainly on Wodric's safety and for good news. Tonight though, I find myself in the same medical bay, stone chamber of Osterforge looking over Wodric's sleeping form. I look on and see the chamber flood and fill with water. No one in the bed just me.
I see in the archway in a side room a flash of green. I swim towards this flash and as I pass through the archway, I don't pass into the cornerstone room. I pass out and find myself free floating in endless black ocean. Ahead of me I see green glow pulsing ahead of me gently. I go towards the green pulse and I'm at the base of the ocean floor. I look down past a silky hill, and I see a ravine in the ocean, within it a structure. An immense castle. Greenish/blue building of turrets and towers made of this green scaly like material. Windows glowing of the green flash. The surrounding area of the chasm I see dozens of other structures like a full settlement or kingdom with small shapes moving in and out of various buildings. I feel three prongs of a trident in my back. I turn round and see a seafolk creature, with an armoured carapace body, armoured with sea shells, squid like tentacles where mouth would be holding a trident. They pull out a horn and blow it, as they blow it I sit up sweating in bed.
On our last day of travel, we can now see in the distance the coastline of Lanali spanning the entire of the horizon.
On the port side of the ship, I notice an island fairly close, unchartered on Kitri's map. Tiny outline of a tower that is glinting white in the sun. We get closer and the tower looks like it's made out of a white marble or yellowy sandstone. We decide to not go to the island.
I use the Curio Seeker Ability of my Master Smith's Hammer and unfortunately, the line guiding me to my next Word of Moradin points back towards where we came, likely towards Crossroads Knight. We'll push on to Lanali to do our research then go back onto the ocean, which is a bit worrying with the dream I had.
