Physical Description

A massive figure in both height and bulk, his glorious muscles have been known to burst the seams of many a shirt when he was careless, or decided to flex his powers. His skin is fair from tanning under the harsh sun of many campaigns.

Body Features

Many combat scars adorn his arms, chest, and back from various injuries incurred in the line of his duties in the Tridochian Corporate military. Some are far older than others, and though he could probably concoct an alchemical solution to remove the scars he is unashamed by them, and thus sees no need.
 
He is mostly bald save for a few curls of blond hair, whether this is natural or his choice is a mystery he chooses not to elaborate upon.

Facial Features

A gloriously well-groomed mustache frames his jovial mouth. His face is well-toned and free of fat, much like the rest of his body. His good humor has led to faint laugh lines.

Physical quirks

Prone to ripping off his (tear-away) uniform to expose his muscles at a moments whim, you can never be sure how long he'll stay fully outfitted.

Apparel & Accessories

A bandolier is the most prominent piece of clothing he wears, with baubles, flasks, spheres, and many other alchemical devices stored within. His military uniform bears insignias from the Tridoch Corporate armies in the Ashlands. His fists are protected by a pair of Cestus with dragon tooth spikes.

Mentality

Personal history

Born into an illustrious military family, Johns path in life was set long before he ever entered this world. For generations his family had held high positions in the official army of the corporation of Tridoch. John is the second-youngest (And the only male) of five children in this latest generation of the Jean-Jon line.
His father Paul Jean-Jon had risen to the rank of a Major general before he had been born, and was capable of pulling strings to get things rolling for his family if they needed. However, their military prowess, fine pedigree, and his not-so-subtle manipulations led them to an easy fit within the hierarchy of the Tridoch Military forces. He stands a ‘mere’ 6’ 8” tall and is clearly absurdly muscular regardless of his attire (though that is almost always a pristine military uniform). His head is bald, save for a pair of blond curls and a fantastically well-groomed mustache.
 
Before his inevitable hurtle down the path of military progress, he dabbled in classical training in a variety of trades and skills.
 
For a few months he worked with the chef in the restaurant The Hefty Tomato, gaining skills both classic and contemporary cooking. Initially his presence in the kitchen was a disruption, as those other staff who were working had to move around him. More than one terrible accident occurred in his presence, and perhaps was directly a result of his alchemical ‘experiments’ with recipes. Ultimately, he did not feel fulfilled despite his growing skills, and sought personal development elsewhere.
 
He trained in classical and ballet dancing with a travelling troupe of entertainers who were staying for an extended time in Trinity Cities Grand Theater. His bulk made for a very interesting time, but ultimately he learned to move within the constraints of his environment despite his massive frame. He came out of the experience more graceful, but still feeling empty despite his budding talent for dance. When they left the city onwards towards the next part of their tour, he returned quickly to study of classic military history and combat techniques.
 
He easily passed the entrance examinations for the academy, and found himself on the fast track towards a position in the growing field of alchemical warfare. His experiments on himself and inanimate objects proved fruitful and he had at last found a true passion, something which fulfilled every aspect of his being. That his family and tradition had pushed him down this path mattered little, as he truly loved what he was doing.
 
He graduated the academy at the top of his class, and with minimal string pulling by his father found himself in a secret unit of the Tridoch Corporate army: one specialized in combat alchemy and wielding it in ever-expanding ways. Some of the friends he made in this unit remain his friends to this day, and they all seemed to specialize in their own unique methods of alchemy.
 
Ray Hellcat eventually known as the Flame Alchemist was the foremost flame alchemist of his time, having learned many dark secrets of fire-based alchemical reactions from personal experiments and unexpectedly winning the heart of another member of the military who, while not an alchemist herself possessed the final research notes of her father tattooed onto her back. Barn Owl was her code name, and she was a famed sniper in a different unit. She was quite hesitant to be intimate with anyone for fear of the terrible power of her father's research to fall into the wrong hands. In the end, she forced Ray to burn the forbidden knowledge from her flesh to prevent anyone else from gaining it.
 
‘Father’ Anthonius Giordanno was a massive man who loved food as much as he loved alchemical research. His specialty was experimenting on human subjects, and while he often used himself as a test subject, he was more than willing to experiment on others as well. His skills were helpful in a combat situation as his extensive knowledge of human (and monstrous) anatomies led to him being the medic of Johns unit. In time he became known as the Tailor Alchemist, and was instrumental in the creation of biological weapons fusing two or more creatures together (frequently against their will) for military purposes.
 
Carl Dismoudal was a pale, thin man who focussed exclusively on liquid alchemy. Turning liquid into solid or gaseous forms and the applications thereof upon a battlefield and in civilian life were his passion. Holding little value for the life of his enemies, he would frequently convert the vital fluids of his foes into mist: leading him to become known as the Crimson Mist alchemist. Fond of using sudden masses of Ice to disrupt and entrap his targets, he was a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
 
Johns unit was dropped via airship deep into the heart of the Shattered collective to gather intelligence. The previously formidable arcane Masters of the collective had been rendered inert, and the masses of people who had been essentially enslaved by the Magi Masters were unruly at best: outright riotous at worst. By triggering the spark of revolution at key points, the secret unit found itself in a position to potentially gain great resources and power for their Corporation.
 
The Great Harvest of the Shattered Collective was an undertaking to collect slaves and wealth from the essentially defenseless lands South of the Ashlands. The traditional army, and any militia resistance which arose to oppose the ‘standard’ armies of the Ashlands corporation were to be snuffed out by the elite unit. Grand atrocities were committed in the corporate name, and the citizens of the Ashlands were rounded up as both slaves and research subjects for the various arms of the Corporation.
 
Chimeras crafted by ‘Father’ Anthonius led to a great deal of blood being spilt. It was during this campaign that John began to doubt whether his heart was in the right place to follow along with the family business. Though he didn’t know all the details, the consumption of several cities of innocents to fuel some sort of research project was where he made his choice. Upon a requested 48 hour leave to his home, he left his medals and badges of honor behind before fading into the night. His letter of resignation was short and to the point, and in order to lessen the shame he brought upon his family he decided to journey westward.
 
Taking his alchemical supplies and little else, he set off into the early morning on a Western trek. Shortly into his journey he found took shelter in an abandoned cabin in the woods during a particularly powerful storm. Sharing the cabin was an Android similar to those which had been developed by some of the corporations, though he had not worked closely with many himself. Apparently he was also fleeing the Ashlands for his own personal reasons, and so for companionship as much as protection they decided to travel together.

Born into wealth, John still appreciates the value of a coin having worked through a number of different careers in his youth before settling into a military track.
 
His work with the Bandolier Brothers had led to a modest accumulation of wealth, and he is actively working to increase the power and influence of the Brothers in the Giovan regions and beyond.

Family Ties

His mother Alexandra Jean-Jon is a strangely tall, rather wiry woman who takes care of all the Jean-Jon estate quite well. Her beauty as a young woman has held through into her middle years, and she shares the same blonde hair colour as Paul and all their children except for Ella. She was a kind and caring mother for all her children, somehow managing to juggle the responsibilities of a household with the parental duties of both roles due to his frequent absence from the household itself while he was on duty.
His four sisters might be physically smaller than he is, but they are quite physically adept nonetheless. Only the youngest of his sisters: Ella did not end up taking a position in the military forces of the Tridoch corporation. The other three (in descending order of age) all hold positions of rank within the organization to this day. Katherina, Penelope, and Alyssa all hold positions of Major at least within the ranks.
 
Katherina spent much of her youth in a monastery learning how to properly use her incredible natural strengths, before finishing her schooling in the training academies of the Tridoch Corporate armies. Average in height (for a Jean-Jon, not an average person): her muscle mass is not something she would be able to hide even if she wanted to. She has achieved the rank of Colonel through literally no effort of her own, preferring to be in the thick of things and put the strength of generations to good use. She frequently forces her way to the frontlines of a conflict, unlike a typical officer.
 
Penelope takes after Paul in that she is of medium height (For a Jean-Jon, not an ‘average’ person) and moderate physique. This is mostly due to her dedication to furthering her knowledge of alchemy and other strange sciences. She attended both Military academy and apprenticed under a number of famed alchemists at the same time: throwing herself completely into her studies. She has not risen to the rank of Major as all Alchemists do, and spends all of her days in one of the Tridoch Research facilities somewhere in the heart of the Ashlands.
 
Alyssa is tall and on the thinner side (for a Jean-Jon: not an ‘average person’), clearly taking after her mother. Always fond of history and military technique, she was a clear fit for a high command position in the military rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Sitting on the military council in the Trinity City: She plays a clear role in the decisions being made by the Tridoch Corporation.
 
Ella is a raven-haired beauty and quite a stark contrast from all of her siblings. Her lithe form truly does not seem to fit in with the silhouettes of her family's significant forms in all the familial portraits. She is more than capable of blending in with civilian folks, and this may have played a part in her decision (against the desires of both parents of course) to not go into the military at all. She lives a relatively ‘normal’ life as a singer and musician entertaining crowds all over the Ashlands. Just because she did not undergo military training she is no pushover, of course.
 
She tends to travel without a body guard as a result of this, even into more dangerous and lawless regions preferring freedom over safety. Whispers of whether she is truly the daughter of Paul Jean-Jon are very quiet indeed, for if he were to hear such accusations the one to utter them would likely receive the thrashing of a lifetime.
 
Paul frequently dispatches special force teams to covertly guard her when she is far from home, much to her chagrin. It has become a rite of passage of sorts for these elite members of the military to maintain vigilance without her becoming aware and quickly losing them (she almost always succeeds at this, whether by landing them in the clinic or simply disappearing on their watch).

Religious Views

John has taken to offering modest worship of a sort to the Regional Deity Orvus of the Giovan dunes.
 
The luck brought on by his offerings and tithes has led the Brotherhood out of some rather tight spots more than once.

Social Aptitude

Well trained in matters Domestic, Diplomatic, and Military: John is confident he can lead the brothers in the right direction regardless of what situations they find themselves in.
 
He has a good understanding of Diplomatic procedures, and the etiquette required for a variety of situations. Unfortunately, some of his brothers occasionally choose not to take heed of his advice/requests.
