The World After

by Major John Jean-Jon

There was magic in this world once, but they stole it all away.

Five Years ago, our world lost its magic. Rituals and ancient sorceries which held things in check unraveled, and among those things: a pyramid arose from the black sands somewhere in the Giovan Dunes. Our group came together in an effort to scavenge the contents of this long-forgotten place. Among the ranks of the Bandolier-Bros:

Thy’Lek Gallagher, or ‘Gentleman Jack’ to those he calls ‘Friend’. A Quarter-Orc (Three-Quarters ‘Human’) with minimal orc features, and a very fancy Tuxedo (modified to be over armour) and a rapier. Also a bandolier full of ‘Premier League’ Darts. Oily slicked back hair and a greenish tan, slight tusks and and a Handlebar Mustache.

Koric: (just Koric, like Madonna or Cher): A Six foot two inch, well-muscled green-skinned fellow with oily short-dreadlocks. Mutton Chops are surrounding a Red Crescent Moon and Celestial tattoo over the right side of his face. 1.5” Tusks are well-sharpened. He carries a ridiculously large axe, and wears just a bandolier and loincloth.

L-546: Boasting an enormous Sombrero and Poncho to protect his Parade Armour, Still adorned in the uniform of one of the three Primary corporations of Ashlands. A pair of Matched pistols and a well-maintained Bandolier full of ammunition, as well as a full face-mask to protect against a harsh climate. Glowing Blue eyes, Platinum Blond Hair (Slicked back), average height, and a trim efficient body (with especially sensitive erogenous Nipple Zones).

John Jean-Jon: Almost as wide as he was tall, the immensely muscled John has even odds between impeccable pristine military uniform, and Bare-Chested, Bare-Legged Muscular glory, John is a sight to behold. His jet-black hair is mostly absent, save for luscious eyelashes, a pair of curls equidistant on his head, and a well-oiled mustache. Carrying an absurdly large case of supplies with ease over his shoulder, he seems prepared for any situation.

Yuttosk: A Lizard Man wielding a Longspear and as well as a Bandolier of Crossbow Bolts and Heavy Crossbow, he’s prepared for many situations. Green like fetid swamp water with Fluorescent yellow fringe, he considers most of the tribes besides his on the primitive side.
Hunters Delight
A boomtown which has sprung up to support the ever-growing population of treasure hunters and adventure-seekers in pursuit of the recently unearthed riches, densely packed buildings and tents for various businesses of well and ill repute, the first tavern the group rolled into was the Sandy Swallow, where they came across a fellow who was allegedly in the know about this newly found pyramid.

Bonding over delicious beverages as well as their stylish bandoliers, they learned that Yuttosk was apparently the sole survivor of the lizard tribes present when the worlds magic was lost. His claims of a delicious breakfast were bewildering at best, and outright false at worst. Regardless of his clearly false claims, he seemed to have knowledge of the area: and so they took him into their fold. With a bandolier like his, he had to have some good aspects.

Supplies were needed in order to make this trip, and so the group set about acquiring them. A small bit of alchemical salesmanship produces some additional funds and infamy for the group as well, having just rolled into town. Travel through the desert was uneventful, and they found themselves at the base of the newly risen pyramid.

The base of the pyramid was as smooth as the day it had sunk beneath the sands, and there was no obvious way to enter this strange locale. An outbuilding stood not terribly far from the base, and a pack of six hooded cultists awaited, performing a strange ritual in the mid-day sun, the light dancing off their clubs. Worshippers of the Pharaoh within the pyramid, they claimed they sought his resurrection. The glory of days before! An open mind was the key, or so they claimed.

The Bandolier-Bros crept into the opening, noticing that the hieroglyphs indicated it was the home of Glorious Sekh-pa-merfer III, who lived his life as a wise and just ruler: And all his worldly belongings waited within along with he, until such time as they were released back into the world. This knowledge was miraculous to the cultists, who listened as John read it aloud, as they wandered further down.

The first chamber held a pair of pharaohs, and decorated columns as well as sphinxes. A pressure plate threatened to trap the group within the tomb, but was gloriously disabled in a flash of oiled finesse.

Halfway through, they were set upon by a sliding rock! A quick analysis of the situation indicated it was propelled by its own power. Koric and John rushed up to meet it fist-to-stone, and were successful! As it turns out, it was a semi-intelligent creature hell-bent on crashing into any living creatures penetrating these depths. In time it was smashed to bits with the Strength of Generations, and Yuttosks Punishing attacks.

In short order, a slab was pushed aside and they found themselves in a room with a sarcophagus and four suspicious columns. The sarcophagus turned out to be a mimic, and although that was a sticky situation, they quickly cut it to bits. They also noticed a pair of secret doors, and went through the Right one first. .

The first secret room was filled with a pair of chariots, and a pack of skeletons! Shortly, they were cut down, and the chariots smashed to bits.
