75. The Bloody Market Report

General Summary

4th Barrakas, 999 YK

• So much happened today.
• They went to visit Senen Dhakaan early in the morning, at the Rhukaan Taash enclave.
• Senen had never encountered a Kalashtar before, and was wary. Kalshana gave Senen her psicrystal, Ode, to use an anchor to locate her when she sleeps.
• Senen is unsure that Kalshana is really dreaming, so this evening will shed some light on that.
• Lozaal stayed behind to talk more with Senen about Kech Volaar business. She hasn't heard any more about the artifact Lozaal was looking for.
• The political situation in Darguun is volatile. Senen believes the nation is being held together by the lhesh and the force of his personality. The Ghaal'dar Clans want war, and are trying to convince the lhesh to attack Breland, specifically New Cyre. Haruuc desires no war with Breland, but this position is unpopular.
• The Kech Volaar are in need of allies, the Kech Shaarat have subsumed some of the smaller Kech clans and it seems they have had access to a demiplane within Khyber. Their resources far outstrip those available to the Kech Volaar.
• Tuura believes that the lhesh could be an ally, she can see something of the Dhakaani within him. Many of the Kech clans have not surfaced yet and remain unaligned, in particular Senen is interested in the Kech Nasaar, whom their records indicate are somewhere in Droaam. She mentioned that a duur'kala named Ekhaas was investigating this. Hey, they know that person!
• After this, they got kicked out of the enclave. Dax' Athla  wanted to spar with a hobgoblin but the Rhukaan Taash were having none of it.
• Lozaal found a tough looking hobgoblin in the street and got them to spar with Dax. Dax won but it was close!
• Warden and Kalshana went to the Bloody Market. Warden bought some bananas at a hideously inflated price!
• Goblin haggling is fun.
• Unable to find anyone selling a gold inlaid vial, Warden asked if Lozaal could make him one. Lozaal went to do that.
• The others went to the docks to enquire about a ship to take them to Seaside.
• There aren't many ships in Rhukaan Draal, and the reason quickly becomes apparent. Kraken Bay is dangerous, and nobody sane is willing to sail through it.
• As if on que, an ostentatious goblin named Riish steps off of his ship, the Nimble Escape, and approaches Dax.
• Riish explains that Kraken Bay is dangerous because of constructs left there by Cyre, which defended their shore during the war. With the Mourning, nobody was able to turn them off or decommission them.
• Riish is up for it though! He used to hunt dragon turtles in the Lhazaar Principalities!
• They come to an agreement, Riish will take them to Seaside for 65 gp.
• They spend the night preparing for the journey, they disembark in the morning after they see Senen Dhakaan to retrieve Ode.
• They sleep.

• They wake up.
