Seaside

Seaside, once referred to as the City of Sails, was once the most beautiful city in Cyre. Situated on the southern coast of Cyre, Seaside was a popular holiday destination even during the Last War.
The town was destroyed on the Day of Mourning, along with the rest of Cyre. When the mists rolled over the city, many of the town's residents piled onto the docks, fleeing onto ships and escaping into the sea. When the ships were full, those that remained huddled on the docks and prayed that the oncoming disaster would miss them. Perhaps their prayers were answered, as the mists stopped exactly at the shoreline, mere feet from the closest citizens on the docks. More people survived the Mourning in Seaside than anywhere else in the Mournland.
