Wilhand Darkeyes
One of Luthien Seawolf's best childhood friends. Wil is the son of a fairly prosperous local mage who works closely with Luthe's father, Lord Calder Seawolf. As a result, Wil is one of the boys educated at the Seawolf estate. Early in his life Wil is the most mischievious of the four friends (Luthe, Fletchor Silverhold, and Keenan Seawolf) but he grows up a little when he realizes that his goal in life is to be Keenan's bodyguard.

Wil is the son of a mage who has a shop in Wolfhold and does extensive work for Lord Calder. He is his father's only son, but he is also the least magically inclined. His sisters, older and younger, are poised to take over his father's business and Wil has been left looking for something else to do.
He met Luthien and Keenan when he was invited to attend the school Lord Calder runs at the Seawolf estate, due to his father's work with the lord. He is a close friend of Luthe's but even closer to Keenan and Fletchor. As a young child he was the most mischievious, frequently getting everyone in trouble with his wild ideas and plots and behavior. He is very smart and brave to the point of reckless.
Wil had little interest in the more physical things that the boys were trained in - fighting, riding, swimming, etc. - until he realized as a young teenager that the only way he'd be able to be at Keenan's side forever, rather than leaving the group to apprentice somewhere and start a career, was to earn a place as a body guard or close guard in Kee's household. After a few heart-to-hearts with Jory, Lord Roarke's bodyguard, he started to really apply himself to those other trainings and get into less trouble so he could acheive those goals.
