Gefin Stormfall
Gefin Stormfall- Pinegrain
Gefin is a close friend of Taskin and Kevian, and a mage who is skilled at defensive magics. He is married to Kuri. They become familiar with Luthien Seawolf and the rest of Taskin's cohort as they pass in and out of the college.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Gefin is, in many ways, your stereotypical farmboy. Though he may have abandoned life as a farmer, you can't abandon genetics. He's strong, bulk and muscles, and healthy.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Gefin grew up on his family's farm. He was smart, but school cost money, and there was no reason to attend college or university to be part of the family business, so he didn't. This plan was ruined when his magic explosively went from a trickle, mostly good for entertaining younger siblings and cousins, to a raging fire. At that point, he became a danger to himself and others with no control, and so he enrolled at Mythlight College of Magics to learn control.
Shortly after arrival at MYCOM, Gefin met Kuri and it was basically love at first sight. They fell wildly in love and married before the end of the year.

Sexuality
Gefin is pansexual, expressing very little to no preference in the gender of his partners. He and Kuri practice polyamory, and have relationships and flings of various configurations outside of their marriage.
Education
Like all Eschien citizens, Gefin had a solid primary education. He was intelligent and learned well, but did not go to college because there was no need, as he intended to continue on working for the family farm. When that plan went sideways and his magic increased explosively, he enrolled at MYCOM to learn how to control it. His speciality is defensive magics, and he's very good at them.
Employment
Gefin was a farmer by inheritance and training, and then a student at MYCOM full-time. After graduating, he was highly sought after by those who needed defending, and spent time as a guard for hire. Eventually, he and his wife started a business together working together in private defense and consulting about such.
Mental Trauma
The incident that jump-started Gefin's magical prowess was fairly traumatic. He was caring for several of his younger siblings and cousins, and they'd gone to the edges of the family property to pick berries. There was a fire, and as he was desperately trying to get everyone to safety, and he was failing, his magic erupted, but it was too late. Two of his cousins and a younger brother died, though he saved two other siblings and three cousins.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
As a farmer, Gefin was motivated by loyalty to his family and the farm. By the time he ended up in magic college, he was adrift at losing that anchor. Specializing in defensive magic gave him the motivation of the ability to defend people and keep people safe. He is also motivated by a deep love for his wife and the family they are building.
