Kingdom of Panwe

Founded in the Brutal north of the main continent, the Kingdom of Panwe developed a fearful reputation for being a military powerhouse and brilliant innovators. The Mountain ranges centrally controlled by the Royals are held safe by the capital, and its resources help to develop military forces armed in the best that the Kingdoms can produce.

Structure

The kingdom of Panwe is organized very similarly to those of the other feudal lands around them. The King maintains control over the majority of the kingdoms affairs, delegating tasks and orders throughout by means of scribes and messangers.

Ruling Structure

  • King/Queen
The King and Queen oversee the majority of the large tasks throughout the kingdom, helping to by both being figureheads and decision makers. Though these tasks are oft pushed aside to allow the ruling nobility to participate in the numerous balls and banquets held by both Imperial Royalty and Inter Kingdom Nobility. This also ignores the required work of the Elder Council that each ruler of the Imperial Kingdoms must participate in.
  • Nobility
This can be the higher nobility or the newer (lesser) nobility. The title is related to land ownership and is only as difficult to attain as having the money to purchase the slip of paper. However, there are certain tasks that come with the title, as the higher in nobility you grow the more responsibilities you will be saddled with. Nobility works directly under the King and Queen, and often works as advisors or Judicial figures.
  • Arcanist/Knight
The Arcanists and Knights are the santified defenders of the kings land, more so than the Pere that occassionally travel the lands. These individuals are the ones that have gone through personal training within the kingdom and have sworn themselves to a Local Noble and the Kings Eternal defense. They are usually given a stipen and allowed to roam their local settlements while off duty.
  • Merchants/Pere/Tradesmen
Technically considered tradesman, similar to carpenters or cobblers, Merchants and Pere are treated with passing respect. They are not usually beholden to the direct ruler of the local lands, but must act acording to their laws and within a safe standard. Pere are specially designated to accept jobs and assist in dangerous tasks, making them the ideal choice for anyone wanting a life of adventure and can survive it. Merchants and Tradesmen are required to similarly required to follow laws and orders, however they typically are required to work for their lodgings if available.
  • Peasants
The lowest rung, peasants are entirely beholden to the local nobility and are subject to all laws and rules that exist in the lands. This rank makes up the farmers and commoners that work in shops or stores.

Culture

Strong dedication to the ruling family and the Panwese Military fosters a sense of brutal determination. The idea that Panwe could be defeated or bested is rarely considered, and the warring between the lesser families trying to gain the Ruling Families attention helps to forge some of the continents most viscous warriors.

History

Lengthy valleys split the land above the Bonsu kingdoms, and called to one of the three remaining tribes of the original five. This tribe, that would later go on to be the great founders of the Panwe, was a more militaristic in nature. They held fighting and crafting in higher prestige than the newly found magics or soft speaking of the other peoples. Instead, they wished to find mountains that could provide them safety from all threats, a foundation to develop a proper world on.   They arrived in the north and discovered a rough landscape of cloud shattering peaks and blustering valleys. During initial research, it was discovered that the mountains along a line were bountiful in ore and jewels. The first founders claimed the lands for the Kingdom and assembled a world around the mining of fine ore and crafting of incredible weapons. Tribal squables were slowly replaced with the small conflicts of nobility as lands were grabbed and fought over.   When the Empire of Five Kings was originally founded, there was very little that still remained of the original founders plans. Cities were assembled along borders and lines of the mountainous ranges, and mines were quickly bore into the stones. Within three generations there was a whole new world of people on the Panwe Moutains. They were well versed in smithing, difficult living, and fighting. When the future Imperial King, Elysian the First, approached them with the idea, they were hesitant as it would leave their own home less guarded, and committing forces would mean that they were no longer in direct control of the king. Eventually it was decided that this would be the best option, and contracts were written to establish the kingdom of Panwe as the Imperial Supplier for small arms and armor, as well as taking the lead on training new soldiers.   Since their adoption into the organization of the Five Kingdoms, The Panwe people have been resiliant in their demands and have never shirked their duty. All men and woman, of any race, serves the crown, and by extension the Imperial Crown as well. They serve, or learn a trade, and are then free to choose their lives path. Panwe has still produced some of the most dangerous and powerful Pere and Heroes known to man. Including the famous Jeann of Rubedelle .
