Peoples of Hato
The peoples of Hato, also known as the people of the Hato Valley or the Commonwealth of Hatoia, are the groups of settled tribes throughout the eastern most part of the main continent.
In the early days, the tribes of the Hato Valley were nomadic and lived lives that existed around the seasons and movements of the animals. It wasn't until magic was introduced to the aggricultural community that they began to change. Those that learned the ways of technology and magic established bases of operation that eventually would grow into massive cities based around the extensive fields.
The cities built along the sides of the moutains developed strange and unique techniques for the procurement and developing of teas, spices, and bipedal plants. Those that live along the valleys and travel the lands as nomadic tribes, the small percentage of the kingdom that hold to the older ways, share their livelyhood with the same citizens that thrive behind walls.
Structure
The leaders of the largest Tribes and Cities unite yearly to conduct business and decide the overall path of the Kingdom in a general sense. The idea is to foster interactions between the many peoples within the land. The Commonwealth was once ruled by a single Tribe, but the groups eventually turned to a more democratic system.
Culture
Agriculture and Herding are the two main tent poles of the Hatoian people. Their access to a massive plains of fruitful lands helped to create a number of settlements based around the growing of large crops and livestock. The access to the coast and rivers leading into also create unique opportunities that eventually led the engineers of the Hatoian to develop small, agile vessels to travel and trade within the commonwealth.
History
The Hatoian peoples were originally nomadic tribes that would travel alongside their respective life blood creatures. As time progressed and influences from other Kingdoms/Countries began to press them, the tribes and cities united to form a representative government. Established to benefit and assist even the smallest among the Commonwealth, the prospects and ethics were quickly adopted and implemented.
