Art & Architecture

Architecture: The Pre-Empire Haton architecture was based solely on the concepts of survival while using everything available. Their homes were more densely conected on safe islands in the center of their rivers, otherwise the towns in the forests took advantage of the heights of sturdy trees and built along the trunks or into the trees themselves.

Art: Pre-Empire art was limited to oral traditions and usually dealt in the current legends and myths of the hunters or leaders of the Haton peoples and Heroes. The groups living in the forest villages depicted hunters and crafters of wood with reverence, brushing over the myriad of trade and smithing that rose alongside the proffessions. River villages built on the islands held fishermen and warriors in higher regard, displaying most on pots as heroes of great renown. Imperial Haton unified with the central idea of Religion, warrior, craft and started to gravitate towards more militaristic roles. Haton riverboats bearing gleaming troops were typical displays of indulgence in pride.
