Landren
Landren is a federalized republic of city-states to the north of Prekha, the mountains of the Enclave of the Free Peoples, and the stormy seas of the Reach.
People and Culture
Landren is a wealthy polity with colonial holdings to its south. It exports many of its ever-changing fashion trends to the rest of Vildrel.Government and Politics
As of the end of the War of Restitution, Landren is a land in revolt, a place of historical wealth, power and influence crumbling under its own weight. It exists in a fluctuating state of different factions taking power over its major cities, a short period of stability, and then an inevitable turnover of power as another faction revolts.Major Political Factions
Monarchists
Also called Loyalists, Monarchists are, as the name implies, those that believe the old Landren monarchy should be re-established. They do not participate in the current republican government, instead attempting to establish themselves through insurgency, and espionage.Geography
Landren is largely flat with most of its population living north of the Silver River at its southern border or in the woodlands in the northern and southern peninsulas surrounding Hooke Cove. Those two peninsulas are called "Maganwu" (the southern peninsula) and "Tsalagwu" (North), names which have carried over from the societies that lived in the northern continent before the Landi.Major Settlements

Waring-states Period
For the first millennia following the Age of Form, the land that is now Landren was a collection of fractured societies, small kingdoms and tribes.Unification
In 1309 SE, Wolf-King Gregor unified the tribes north of the Serpant's Trail River to fight off invaders from Prekha.Height of Empire
From the fourteenth to mid-seventeenth century, Landren's empire enjoyed a three centuries-long period of wealth, growth, and influence. During this time, they colonized Sadrove, pushed Sura Pel out of Heaven's Cove, and became the forefront of technological development with the invention of the compass and the rediscovery of black powder.War with Sura Pel
Starting in 1634, four decades after the Sadrove War of Independence, warlords from Sura Pel invaded the southern coast of Landren and sacked the city of Westcoast in Maganwu, part of the Heaven's Cove region that Sura Pel occupied two centuries prior. Under King Jaque Leon, Landren fought a campaign against the invading Auklans known as the Managwu Campaigns, now seen as a precursor to the Sunrise War.Fracturing and Revolution
Following centuries of feudalism, leaving Landren's lowest serfs in abject poverty. Landren reached a point of internal fracturing.Territory Name:
