Razdelin
Everyone remembers the day of the Cataclysm ... none more so than those poor girls...'Everyone remembers the day of the cataclysm', that line has been echoed so often it has almost taken on mythic proportions in many ways. Three hundred years ago, Razdelin was a full country spilling with light, music and magic... famous for their Soul Arm research and smithing school known as The Etcher's Guild, however, when Queen Pallinee, a wise and benevolent Wood Elf, died there was much debate over who would inherit the Dual-Headed Axe known as The Pall Bearer (the family Soul Arm) and with it, who would inherit the nation of Razdelin. For Queen Pallinee had two daughters who happened to be identical twins. There was no agreement about who should take the throne as none could stand witness and confirm with clarity which of these identical twins was born first. Here is where the Inheritance aspect of Soul Arms was seen as a way to determine the true queen, on their 100th birthdays, one of the twins would manifest a Soul Arm whilst the other would inherit The Pall Bearer, put simply, the one who inherits the Pall Bearer family axe were born first and so were the rightful queen of Razdelin. Though, Thysia is rarely so straightforward in it's stories and history, for when the Inheritance ceremony came for the princesses of Razdelin, the morning came and the royal palace court watched as the dual headed axe, Pallbearer, split in two perfect halves. In that same moment, as though tied to the fate of the nation, the country of Razdelin was split down it's centre in a tremendous earthquake followed up with a hurricane that made the two landmasses entirely seperate from one another... destroying The Etchers school and their curated libraries as well as annihilating several villages and settlements in the destruction. The two queens took this as a sign, a deadly one, but a sign nonetheless. So Razdelin became an oligarchy country with one queen in the south and one in the north, offering their unique views, cultures and styles on the nation. In the three hundred years since the Cataclysm Razdelin has been rebuilt in their queen's, or as they are now known Izim's, images.
- Razdelin nobles recall the day of the Cataclysm.
- The North of Razdelin, ruled by Izim Faralda Pallinee. Have clearly been shaped by the proud history of it's neighbour Paradosia, Izim Faralda improved the architecture, trade and arts of her people. Making Razdelin wealthier than it's ever been and giving it a culture of skilled poets and mages specifically this is shown in their creation of a The Oracanium centre for the greatest mages and diviners to gather and share their knowledge from across Thysia in the hope that they can avert a crisis like the cataclysm again.
- The South of Razdelin, ruled by Izim Serana Pallinee. Have clearly been shaped by their tough and straightforward neighbour Sibi, Izim Serana chose to build the skill of both herself and her people to survive no matter what... she also took the bold step of disregarding the taboos and traditions around Soul Arms, Serana sees them as dangerous things to rely on and bad omens with too much power over the world. As a result, those that use their soul arms are seen with a level of distaste in Razdelin as they believe in their own item creations over their soul arms... this has reached such an extent that Serana's half of the Pall Bearer has not been drawn for over 200 years. The south also created The Crossed Shields, that act as a hardcore training centre loyal to Razdelin.
