The Crossed Shields

Their shielded bracers are things of beauty and darn it they work hard to prove that they don't need Soul Arms, their Izim may be strange and her methods may not be seen as wise by the other nations, but her people believe in her... none more so than her Crossed Shields.

The Crossed Shields are the primary militant force in Razdelin. Trained in the south to fight without their Soul Arms and with an emphasis on ingenuity, cunning and being especially well equipped for a variety of jobs and threats, often the Crossed Shields are not taken particularly seriously as a military force in Thysia for this reason but this leads inevitably to a shock when they are revealed to be deeply efficient, skilled in both unarmed and martial combat and, when working with the Northern Razdelin The Branivama , have proven to be clinical and capable warriors themed around the mercenaries and wanderers of Epizonia. A Crossed Shield member can be identified by their dual sharded buckler shields, smaller implements that attach to the bracers of a wielder and act as excellent shields and are sharded to act as bladed weapons for extremely close quarters combat. 
The Crossed Shields answer directly to the Izim of South Razdelin but are notably run and trained by a variety of different members.

Structure

The Crossed Shields are split into different ranks:

• Recruits- Soldiers still being trained as members of the Crossed Shields. 
• Crossed Shields- Standard Crossed Shield Soldiers.
• Gilded Shields- The sergeants that run crews of Crossed Shields members.
• Soul Shields- Highest rank Crossed Shield members who answer and meet with the Izim's of Razdelin.
