Karakse-tal
In the First Age, over 8000 years ago, the Vetus used their newly created dwarves to construct perhaps their largest grand tower ever known, the Tower of Aleria. As the spire was built, the surrounding area was quickly populated, to become another impressive city of the Empire, Karakse-tal, the City of The Tower.
After the Tower's completion, the Queen of the Elves made the Tower of Aleria and the new city of Karakse-tal the capital of the Vetus Empire. Throughout the rest of the First Age Karakse-tal would continue to grow, to then become the largest city of the Old Elves. At the end of the Age, the King of the Human Clans, Balaur lead his people against the tyranny of the Old Elves, who were able to take control of Karakse-tal and slay the Eternal Queen.
As the Second Age began, the city was forever transformed, humans destroyed an untold amount of historical records and ancient knowledge through the decades-long sacking of what remained of the Vetus Empire, leading to what is now called the Dark Era.
Through congress with the God Aleria at her Tower of Aleria, the human houses that now occupied the city would begin to form what would be known as The Church of Aleria's Truth, ushering in a new era of renewed progress.
For hundreds of years, the City of The Tower has been the cultural center of the continent, its influence reverberating throughout.
