Era beginning/end

The end of the First Age and the beginning of the current, Second Age.   This cataclysmic event put into motion by the Old Elves changed the face of the planet and unleashed the current plague of Undeath.

Zeal Zilant, through ancient, unknown magic, lifted an entire portion of the world to the north skyward. The motivations are still mostly not understood but it is widely theorized that the Queen was planning the construction of the largest tower ever yet erected, made from the very earth itself. This first lifted layer of the world to serve as its foundation.
