Plot points/Scenes
The group arrives back after getting some nice loot to be approached by an elderly lady asking if she could be helped tin finding somewhere close to the bakery t ostay as a house. She doesn;t want to trouble anyone and looking a good word put in to the council about it. She professes to know some of the 'old ways' and willing to help out with the towns hebalists, apothicaries, mages, and the Groves.
If asked about where she came from she will say she came from the south, and left as she wanted to spend time with her grandson Jacob. She feels that he may need her hel pwhen the time comes, and worries about his parents. She saw that there is arisk out there that may not have his best intentions in mind.
The group may be able to work out that she is really Granny Barrowbye in disguise. She calls herself Niamh Svart, in this disguise. The team can use magic or Investigation to try to work out who she is. Certainly anything that can penetrate the Illusion will determine who she is, and she may be tricked into giving away who she is.
Also, the Druids and Hoffgothi at the Grove will mention someone came through a portal just at the western edge of their grove at 3am or so that morning. She was seen in the grove at sunrise, worshipping there, and appeared to be calling to her great grandmother. She seemed t obe asking for help to remove some type of pact she had entered ih her youth. She was speaking in Sylvan.
It's up to the team whether to help or hinder.
If they help there is the ground floor of a housing block she can move in to. She may request help with setting up a bed, a sturdy table & chairs, and a cauldron over a fire in the middle of the room. She has a few books filled with spells, and a large pouch with strange ingredients in it.
She is open to helping the group as well if she can. She may mention about the Wizard of the Book having a powerful but dangerous spellbook once used by those that worshipped ancient gods. She may also mention about the Bow of the Hunt, a magical longbow lost near a forgotten mine entrance in the Pyrenees created by a Dwarf using magic script wrote in Arabic.
If hindred, she may curse them, and something bad to happen in the near future. At the same time they may be attacked that night by one or more Baobhan Sith. Also, she returns quite openly to the Feywild at the Grove.
