Bjorn
Bjorn is an elderly member of the Council of Three in Eschbach. An ex-woodcutter, her knows the region very well.

Personal history
Bjorn is in his 90s having grown up in the region in and around Eschbach. Like many of the people here he learned the trade of his parents becoming a woodcarver. With the forests dense enough around the village he would become very skilled in the art of woodcarving. At the same time, he learned from an early age that he could survive well in the forest living of the land. Going with fellow woodsmen, he soon learned of the life in the dense wooded regions that make up Europe, and the inhabitants that exist there. Wood Elves, hidden Celtic tribes, ageless Roman soldiers trapped in time, the Fey and their kin, and many many dark secrets best forgotten. All these he encountered, in some fashion or another.
This all gave him a respect for the wilderness and the knowledge of where was safe & were wasn't. He cultivated relations in many of these bands & groups, and would lead the other woodsmen to the best sites that wouldn't draw the wrong attention. It helped the rest of the community to do the same, relying on his expertise to carry out their living peacefully.
He eventually settled down, though he has outlived his wife and at least one child, though he has grandchildren & at least one great grandchild in the region of Eschbach. The knowledge & experiences he has had eventually made him a perfect candidate for the Council of Three that runs Eschbach. He is listened to, and he ponders all problems before coming a decision on any matter, no matter how trivial.
"Meaven, Fleur, listen to me. If we allow the Saxons to take over it will be our death. These woods around us are both blessed & cursed. Powerful forces are at work here, and we don't want to provoke any side until we can be sure that our futures are protected. This is especially true of our families. One slip up and it result in death of innocents. Remember the last time we reacted rashly.... The Fyrwin lass, and her children, all gone. And that husband is now on the path of revenge. We still don't know how that's going to turn out, do we?"
