A Return to a New Home
Fleec shadows the party back to Eschbach where he may see two old friends and makes some more. Salapane manages to secure a small shipment of medicines from Asia.
Plot points/Scenes
The team with Fleec in toe make it back to Eschbach with Amon having horrifying nightmares on & off. Back at Eschbach he can easily find accommodation & set himself up as an associate to the Thieves & Assassins of Frankia. Though not a member of either, he can call upon them for help, and be slipped the odd job that the rest can't or won't touch.
Salapane recieves a small package from her family. It contains a small selection of Asian medicine ingredients. At the same time she may get a visit from Margarette le Garou looking help to heal her friend Marcus who is ill. If helped, they take an interest in Salapane, asking if there is other such 'healers' like her or is she the only one? And ask if she knows any ways to cure anyone who changes during the month.
If answered in the right way, she will be asked if there is any asafe houses for those who change monthly in Eschbach.
Fleec finds that Edward the Monk & Martine Sascha is in the area, or has been. At the same time the Council & Mikhael Aldorf may request the odd job of him too. They will likely inform him if any agents of the de Rais, them themselves, are found in the region he has carte blanche to kill them on sight, or if possible keep it under the table while gathering information about what they are doing there. He gets offered a deal by the religious orders there to keep a look out for any strange happenings in the area, and they may pay him for removing any threat.
A stranger does come into town with a wild story that there is another small wagon train has been destroyed and being blamed on the Unseen Wanderer to the south. A pattern is forming that every caravan & smaller village around Eschbach is being targeted by this creature, with the exception of the hamlet that got hit by the meteorite.
A quick investigation seems to hint that many were carrying material goods towards the town or storing them, and the clerics & druids are beginning to suspect that the Unseen Wanderer may be attached to the Fey somehow trying to protect nature. They have no proof as of yet, the second grove being cleansed & dedicated partly with Fey related magic, may have attracted him to the area. Any further information would be of use to them so they could get a better picture.
At the same time Reolus hears that the Bladed Pouch has been active near the fort and a couple of soldiers killed. The assassin that had been killed was part of the Far Glade Clan of Tabaxi in Freisa, and had spoke before she died saying that Bold Chain will be called by name soon enough within the month. The ritual will take place in the ruined place of the beer making Dwarves by the Dam in the north.
Amon gets a shock too. Found to have parlayed with Stitchscar by being forced to admit it during a round of repentance & confession with Father Tossil. His Paladin skills are temporarily capped until he repents for it. This he might need help with.
He gets a further shock too, that the parlay is an attempt by Stitchscar to corrupt him. He has waking nightmares of his body being corrupted. If he gets the chance to place the paper given to him by Stitchscar, he gets a paper cut from it. This may call up Stitchscar or another Cenobite or two. They will try to get him to go back to the Labyrinth to convert him to their side and make him a Cenobite.
A spy is found. Turns out the spy is a Teifling called Eleia, and working on behalf of the de Rais & la Marchand families. She is to spy on them working through a mercenary middle man, who has a raven's wing item on his left pauldron. He belongs to a mercenary company called the Raven Queen's Company.
