Scene 1.1: At the lake
Paolo is in Myrtle’s Beach on Prometheus to give an anti-bullying lecture at the local high school. After the lecture, his host for the stay, Casper Martin gave him a tour of the town.
The novel begins as they are visiting the nearby Lake Nuwattah-Nuwattah, enjoying the sunset and each other.
Paolo and Casper are being watched from a nearby boulder, by Gregor Laszlo, and they don’t even notice. Before Laszlo can carry out his orders to kill Paolo, an unknown assailant knocks Laszlo out.
Paolo and Casper finish having sex and talk instead, where Casper tells about the trouble he has with his unusual condition.
