Casper Martin was an ordinary boy, for the most part. He was the son of an officer in the Fleet and a painter. Casper was going to follow in his dad’s footsteps – the dad who was an officer, not the painter – so Casper joined the Space Fleet Youth Activation Program at age ten.

At age fourteen Casper accompanied his dad to the secret military lab he was in command of. While Casper was there an explosion occurred, the details of which are unknown, and since then people can’t seem to remember Casper for more than a few seconds, with a few exceptions. Casper’s dads, and the authorities in Myrtle’s Beach have written him off as dead, though he’s very much alive.
