Linnea Farnsworth
Linnea Farnsworth was one of several siblings of Jeremiah Clear and mother of Tim Farnsworth.
Her maiden name was Linnea Clear and married a Trident Coalition Space Fleet officer named George Farnsworth who eventually rose to the rank of Admiral before he got court-martialed and sent to the ice mines on Boreas in early 2940, where he soon died.
When Tim died, shortly after her husband, she blamed her brother and sided with her niece Crystal Daffodil in the family feud that followed.
Linnea knew about the blueprints for Medusa's Gaze, hidden in her husbands safe, and was tempted by offers to buy those blueprints. She was very lonely and slowly going mad, buying more and more cats, which lead to toxoplasmosis, making her even more mad. The money from selling the blueprints would keep her in cat food for decades and allow her to keep her house on Egghorn Crescent. Medusa’s Gaze was a Weapon of Mass Destruction and therefore illegal, which meant she couldn’t straight off sell it, it had to look like a break-in. Over several years many young men and women from the Cat Burglars Association broke into her house, to steal the blueprints, only to be killed by her crossbow or her tiger; she couldn’t make it too easy, or it would look suspicious, and she was insane. Eventually, in the summer of 2952, one Cat Burglar named Virgil successfully stole the blueprints.
