George Farnsworth
Admiral George Edward Farnsworth
George Farnsworth was an officer in the Trident Coalition Space Fleet, from a family of officers. While they were rich enough to live in the Quarry, they were far from the wealthiest family there, but enough to get the blessing from the Clear Family to marry Linnea Farnsworth and it was really her money that bought the house they lived in, across the street from her brother, Jeremiah Clear.
As an Admiral he insisted that the Trident Coalition Armed Forces should turn to the Clear Corporation for development of new plasma pistols and rifles, rather than Daffodil Armaments. Farnsworth claimed, along with several other high-ranking officers, that it was just because "Their soldiers couldn't go around with weapons named after a flower." The Court Martial against him found that his decision to use the Clear Corporation was biased, favoring his brother-in-law, and sent him to the ice mines on Boreas, where he died shortly after.
