Dioscuri Tech
Originally a subsidy of the Clear Corporation, this company was created to manufacture cloning technology, which they did at a commission basis at first, barely making a profit. They made the most of their profit on serial production of artificial wombs.
When Daffodil Armaments bought the Clear Corporation, Dioscuri almost went bankrupt before it was bought by Volksmann Enterprises who kept them as a subsidiary instead of absorbing them into the mother company. It was then they started mass production of the main cloning technology, which lead to laws that stipulated that you couldn’t clone someone without their consent, or that of their next of kin. Other legal guardians weren’t covered by law which created a loophole that allowed the cloning of an orphan boy, Nick Tyler, after he died in 2952, to create several hundred identical Marines.
