Little is known about the wastelands. The harsh environment and deadly creatures make it impossible to travel without a guide or aid of some sort.
Though there are passes through the Wastes, on the stoutest or the stupidest attempt them alone. Even in company, the way is dangerous wherever crossing is attempted and even the more well-trodden paths can turn suddenly deadly.
