The Dragon Spine Mountains (Territory)
The Dragon Spine Mountains are located immediately south of the The Dreaded Wastes (Territory), north of Allurya, and east of Athijan Afrya. The southwest region is rolling foothills and plains transitioning into marsh and swamplands and the southeast portion is desert. There are two major cities in the Dragon Spine Mountains territory: Spear Point and Bhol Durahl. The mountains have numerous caverns, some of which lead to The Underdark ; there are rumors of great cities beneath the mountains. The southern region is divided by a small offshoot of mountains called The Needlepoint Range that taper off into Allurya; the region to west is referred to as the Battlebohr Ruins and to the east is The Scorched Lands, a harsh desert known for consuming unprepared travelers.
In the distant past, a fierce war was waged in what is now known as the Battlebohr Ruins. A once prosperous kingdom was driven into ruin by a unified Orc Horde, lead by the legendary chieftain Khar'dahl the Destroyer, despite solid alliances with Spear Point and Bhol Durahl. It was not until after the capital city of Borheim was laid to waste that a unified alliance of Humans , Elves, and Dwarves was able to defeat the Horde. This was the turning point and Spear Point took charge of reclaiming the habitable lands west of the Needlepoint mountains; The Dun Drah'guhns firmly establishing Spear Point as the new capital of what is now called Battlebohr. There are now many communities spread throughout the realm.
