Demons are out there and very few people can stop them, which is why we have to make monsters to hunt them - Night HunterDemons are considered some of the most fearful beings that have ever existed and when they appear on the mortal plane it will often lead to blood and death in their wake. Even an average Night Hunter cannot handle such an otherworldly power. But though dark techniques those who are willing to take the step to gain victory over them will become the monsters to destroy monsters with the power that has been given to them. But it may turn them into the very thing that they sought to destroy if they become overwhelmed by the desires that come with that power.

Requirements
Night Hunters who have many years of experience are selected often showing strong will and endurance to the best candidates to be selected.
Appointment
The only way to become a Demon Hunter is to be selected by the Grandmaster of the Hunt. Then they must be go through a ritual only known as the Harbinger’s Trial where they go through things that are kept a secret due to the controversy it would cause. As it is suppose to alter those who take to better combat Demons more easily. But how it done is said to done through magic and potions. But some say it possible that demon essence is used and placed into them creating hybrids. The likelihood of survival of those who take the trial are often slim as it will often take someone who is strong will to survive to become a Demon Hunter.
Duties
Those who become Demon Hunters are often sent to hunt Demons as they often the only one capable of going toe to toe with them in a fight.
Responsibilities
When ever an assignment is brought in that involves Demons they are the ones sent to deal with them.
Benefits
Those who become Demon Hunters will have a tolerance or immunity to powers that Demons have to fight them. Along with a slower aging process, immunity to fire and powers consider unnatural to those of mortal men.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Demon Hunters are given armor and equipment that is specifically designed to fight Demons. Along with weapons that will possibly kill a demon or send it back to whence it came. Along with a special necklace with a medallion that is in the shape of a inferno to have others recognized their rank.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
If a Demon Hunter fails to keep their dark power in check they will not longer be able control what they do and will often become the thing they sworn destroy and will be killed to ensure that do not go on a rampage.
History
Demons Hunters have existed in the Black Order for a long time, but their history is often shrouded in mystery due to their origins. It was believed that they were created when Demon activity became more frequent when those who used Dark Magic were more common as their ritual often caused Demons to enter the mortal plane and reek havoc where ever they went. Due to the lack of proper understanding of how to defeat Demons and were often finally stop through magic or some sort of divine power from a religious order. This is why the Black Order decided to change that as it way to earn a new way of income by creating Night Hunters capable of killing Demons and through many years of study and experimentation that idea came to life and created Demon Hunter as the final result. Demon Hunters have been seen throughout time in a different place in the Western Lands and beyond often killing Demons that no one else could. But records of their exploits are often lost due to the demonic presence often being kept hidden, except for large demonic events such as the Hellfire Incident, when a large number of Demons managed to enter the world through an ancient portal and took over a small town resulting in several of them to be sent in. The Hunters were victorious, but what other events that transpired that day were classified when the Inquisition came and destroyed everything to remove the demonic taint in the area. Since then they have fallen to obscurity as there are very few of them left in the order as demons are less common making them very rarely used, but are still used due to their skill.
Cultural Significance
Demons Hunters are something of an oddity as no one knows what they are exactly and are often avoided, except for their few Night Hunters but they tend to keep their distance. Due to the dangers that come in being one.
