Riftway
Founded between the banks of the Beau River and The Rift, Riftway became an important trade town for goods transitioning between moved over the pass and along the river.
Government
Due to its strategic location, a military governor was appointed by the Grand Kingdom.

Stone walls with towers and defenses surround the city center including the docks on the Beau River
Industry & Trade
Trade is essential for the town. Any goods that come or go overland through The Rift. Mining and stone quaries are also important industries for the town

History
Verek Lerr original settled here along with others who wanted to spread out and explore the interior of the land. After finding good ore deposits as well as ample supplies of stone suitable for construction, the town was quickly formed. Due to the size and easy navigation of the Beau River, the town was situation along the river and docks were setup in order to load the resources for shipment down river to the larger cities.
Travel through The Rift didn't start up until later when further expeditions were launched. Once they began, however, a road network was created through the valley to the docks making the town an important trade hub between overland caravans and the Grand Kingdom.
