Mistymoors
Mistymoors is a small town with its primary purpose being the extraction and refining of pitch and oil based products. Due to the surrounding marsh land and cool air from the north, it is mostly encased in a heavy mist. Mixed with the smoke from the refining of the pitch leaves a very dark and dreary town. The stench is something most travelers cannot stand but the locals have learned to live with it.
Traders, nobles and visitors tend to keep their visits short and look for excuses to return to more pleasant areas.
Government
a hereditary lord rules this town and is a member of the Nord Bratin council
Defences
the primary town is situated on a small outcrop of low hills with palisades and small towers for defense. The harbor is the only entrance as the marsh and surrounding bog makes for land travel extremely difficult.

Founded primarily as a town for the collection of pitch and oil, it slowly grew to support services for a small town
Natural Resources
Pitch is not only gathered through a labor intensive process to pool and separate out of the marsh, but it is also refined here too. The refineries are situated more on land and put into barrels when complete
