The spirits of the wood are one species of the immortal beeings, descended onto the Land during the great demonwar to save the mortal races from utter destructions. After the end of the war some of them leave the Land again to return to the spirit world, the universe, however most remain on the Land.
Most withdraw from the mortals and live in solitude. Only few decide to guide and teach the mortals. At first this is greatly appreciated but soon, as the words of the spirits begin to contradict the views of the church, unease begins to spread between immortals and mortals.
