Iman

(a.k.a. Markov the Second)

Iman was a respected politician in Randgriz's business sector and one of the highest ranking members of a commerce guild. He entered the scene out of nowhere in the whirlwind of reconstruction post Caeladonian war quickly establishing connections and professional relationships at an unheard of pace. His past is ill-defined at best, but his key role in the Randgrizan reconstruction ensured that the Emperor didn't care. It was through his economic influence that Nozamere was able to make advancements on the capitol's mines.
When the call came from the ARCS federation for leaders with unparalleled ability to unite, inspire, and strategize, Iman was their first choice for ship captain by recommendation of the Randgrizan Emperor, though his deployment was delayed for personal reasons. So while his ship was first in designation, it was Captain Clank and his first crew who went on the very first Shardan expedition. Iman's crew deployed soon after Clank's when they failed to report back, finding the three survivors Clank, Susan Tupp, and Anzu (who later joined his crew). He was then one of the two leaders tasked with finding Shardan natives to assist the expedition and avoid the tragedy of losing another ship due to lack of information. It was on this mission that he found Ifrah.
During the team's expeditions he assisted in establishing an embassy in Shade's End, and also was present in the Arcadian castle during the assassination of Adam Faera and following summit in which Maximilian Caelos V assumed control of the ARCS federation. Trusting Ifrah and Crux's team of their innocence, he assisted their escape from the Arcadian castle, getting himself arrested in the process. He was freed by the unlikely return of the old Loredasan hero Samuel Eshpard who used his connections and public reputation to free him. The two of them went on to break into Waterfront Industries headquarters and dig through their dirty laundry to pin down their late friend Adam Faera's assassination plot. Sam's political pull didn't extend to him being able to kidnap a standing prince awaiting execution, however, so Iman was able to further lower scrutiny on him and his team by offering to hunt him down (while secretly smuggling him, Tandil, and the prince out of Loredas). He worked to maintain his relationship with the ARCS federation trying to help out Sam and the team while minimizing the damage Maxamilian did.
Protecting the prince Oliver Reynold during the war of Balimor, they became fast friends, assisting each other in founding a new kingdom. He now stands proudly as King Oliver's right hand and adviser of Haven .
