The progenitor deity Balimor came into existence at the same time as its twin Alios . Whatever fluke shifted the primordial emptiness in the first place created both of these gods as pure forces of Creation and Destruction. Alios set about creating the Obsidian Brink with its Dragons and Eridium Spires, followed by Terra and the surrounding Elemental Planes while Balimor set about destroying those creations.
Alios put itself into a comatose state to bury Balimor, and ascended as the land's sun to shine holy light down protecting the land from Balimor's wrath. It was stirred by the ancient Elves to win their civil war in -756. It was fully awoken by its prophet Asch Figthorn in 202 when it was later absorbed by Samuel Eshpard and defeated in that form by the Godkillers. Its power was finally taken and sent across the world during the Soulburst, creating the 12 Archfiends and the rest of the 8 Aetherial Gods.
