Oliver Reynold Character in The Library of Dekash | World Anvil

Oliver Reynold

Oliver was just 8 when the soldiers that once made him feel so safe turned on him. They barged into his chambers, weapons drawn and told him that his "secret" had been found out. It never was a secret, not to most of them anyway. The guards close to his family had always known, it was something that they just didn't talk about. His family did a good enough job running the kingdom. Their people were happy, cultured, and prosperous. They rarely made public appearances, but everything ran so well that people didn't really care.   They started caring when Prince Maximilian Caelos started campaigning. He and his family were taken. He never got to see the King and Queen, his parents, before it happened. No one told him, but he knew. Their execution was public, but it seemed his would be private. He guessed that even the bloodthirsty crowd, whipped up into an anti-vampire frenzy., still didn't want to watch a child die. He was in a cell waiting for the executioner to come when a portal opened in front of the cell. "We're getting you out of here kid"   Oliver was tutored by Adam Faera for as long as he can remember, the wise mage teaching him everything he knew about strategy, running a country, and general leadership tactics. Oliver has caught on quickly, partially through his natural intelligence but boosted massively by his Vampiric blood enhancing everything in his body from his brain to his muscles and reflexes. He stayed on the ship with the Godkillers after being rescued by Samuel Eshpard and Iman, before being taken onto Iman's ship until the war against Balimor was over.   Now having grown he stands proudly as the King of the kingdom of Haven, a country for the people who wish to live in peace away from prejudice. Iman as his close friend and adviser guides him in allowing his new kingdom to prosper.
