Beacon of Nentruhn

After reporting back about the aberration that the players encountered when gathering the Voidprism, Deaderah recognizes the creature as a Void angel. She gives a bit of a panicked reaction and heads off, requesting the party to remain at the palace for some to such that she can confirm some suspicions. After a long rest, Deaderah will summon the party again, explaining void angels are rarely spotted around the edge of the abyss unless there is something calling them. The demoness will ask the players if they have encountered an object that emitted a strong dark energy unidentifiable to them. The black book that was displayed for a short duration at the map store in Hazegate when the players first arrived at the province matches this description. Regardless if the players have noticed this book, Deaderah will explain that there is likely a so-called beacon of Nentruhn located somewhere near. She goes on by describing Nentruhn to be a strong void send who is regarded to be a dark god. Their beacons lure creatures from the abyss to nearby planes, where they can very well consume those planes spreading the abyss. This is a big problem for Mausolea, as such, Deaderah requests the party to track down this beacon and bring it to her so that it can be destroyed. To help them track the book, Deaderah will hand the party a Vial of Shadow Tendrils.
The beacon of Nentruhn is located at Silver Lake Mansion, or rather below it in the Silver Lake Laboritory. To obtain the book, the players must sneak into the manor and steal it, which is described in the event Manor Heist. To start the event, the party must head to Lumairen. When they get to the town they may be approached by Anabelle Lakeson if they stay at the tavern, or they can overhear a conversation between Bran Helbert and Lupis Arbor when heading to the town hall. If the party heads to the manor directly, they will find it just as heavily guarded as before and will not be allowed entrance.
Upon completing the Manor Heist event and obtaining the Black Book of Nentruhn, the players may return to Deaderah. When handing her the book, Deaderah will ask the players to stick around and help her destroy it. She will explain that it is impossible to do so by normal means, requiring someone to enter the book and destroy it from within. She promises that the party is up for the task, as the book is not so thick that it would be an impossible task. Additionally, she explains that if any of them were to lose their lives while inside the book she may be able to pull out their soul in time and return it to their body. However, if she fails, the soul will become locked within Nentruhn's Realm and cannot be released even if the book is destroyed. If the players enter the book, they will find themselves in Nentruhn's realm. Destroying the core of the book will return them to their bodies in Asmodeus, which will be left behind when entering the book.
Deaderah will offer the players a … as a reward but also points out that those who return from one of Nentruhn's tomes usually do so with some newfound power. There are some who spend their whole lives in an attempt to pursue one of these books just so they can claim the power that lies within. This reward is deep knowledge that allows the players to each learn a feat, including the special limited trade Beholder of an Arcana Origin.

Grander Scope

This quest line will cause the players to come into contact with the shadow organization, the circle of the twelve. They will learn that Mavis Aldoro is part of this organization. This also brings to light the manor's involvement in the disappearance of some of the Lumairen town's folk. It highlights that the chaos of the demonic hoard has not only brought destruction by the demons but also allows for those with evil intent to strike out. Additionally, the party will begin to understand that there is more to the abyss than just a darkness where the occasional voidsent arrives from. Beings like Nenthruhn actively threaten those who live in Asmodeus, putting a new perspective on demon kind.

Description

"Deaderah strongly suspects that an object known as a beacon of Nentruhn has been brought into the province. Given that the book poses a significant risk to Mausolea and the surrounding area of Asmodeus, she wants it found, such that it can be brought to her and destroyed."

Progression

1. Obtain the vail of shadowy tandrills 2. Head to Lumairen 3. (optional) Get involved with Bran and Anabelle's plan to kill Mavis Oldoro 4. Partake in the Manor Heist event or get into Silver Lake Mansion some other way 5. Enter the Silver Lake Laboratory and find the black book of Nentruhn 6. (optional) Kill Mavis Oldoro and Otto Greyborn 7. Return to Deaderah and hand over the book 8. Enter Nentruhn's realm through their black book 9. Clear Nentruhn's realm and destroy the book's core
