Silver Lake Mansion

Silver Lake Mansion is located on the northern bank of Lumairen Lake. The beautiful and richly decorated building was commissioned by a wealthy merchant from the central provinces of the empire named Galvus Oldoro. The estate is named Silver Lake Mansion because the merchant refers to Lumairen Lake as Silver Lake, much to the dislike of the locals. Apparently, he does so to make the lake sound more interesting and fancy, in other words, so that he can brag to his associates. The mansion has a big garden and a private dock. There are a total of three floors as well as an addict and basement. The building houses richly decorated rooms for all kinds of purposes as well as servant quarters. A number of maids that serve in the manor come from Lumairen, moving to the estate for a limited time whenever it is occupied. The most impressive part of the manor is the entrance hall which is filled with paintings and other pieces of art. In the center of the room stands a pillar, holding up a magnificent orb that is shielded by a glass cube. This orb is The Cloud Orb, a mysterious treasure once belonging to the town of Lumairen. A few years ago Galvus managed to pressure the then-mayor of Lumairen to sell the artifact, an act that made him rather disliked in the town.
Due to recent demon activity, the mansion is heavily guarded. Despite the number of guards, Galvus is unwilling to send any of them to investigate the recent assault on one of his transport wagons. The wagon was transporting a fine piece of art, but the paranoid merchant worries that the mayor of Lumairen may be behind it and that he would play into their hands to send his guards away. For this reason, he is hiring adventurers to look into the matter for him.
