Hazegate

Hazegate is a small city in Meydia, it serves as the capital of the province. The city was built around 250 years ago, on top of the ruins of what once must have been a prosperous city. Remnants of these ruins can still be seen in certain locations around Hazegate. The main deity of the city is Arcon, the god of trade and travel. A temple in his name has been built close to one of the northern gates, dubbing set gate Archon's gate. Two other gates allow for access to the city; the second northern gate, known as the market gate, and a gate in the south part of the city, simply called the southern gate. In the middle of the city lays the main plaza, which contains both the market and the trade hall. Connected to this plaza is also the Argonian consulate, which functions as a town hall and houses all governmental and administrative facilities of the province. Hazegate is a trade hub between Meydia and the rest of the empire. It is the only point that allows travelers to pass through to the rest of the province, assuming they do not go off-road. It is for this reason that the main deity of worship is Arcon the Traveler. In addition to commerce, Hazegate exports rare minerals and gems. Although not a grant market, a specialized guild known as the Miner's Guild oversees and manages all things related to the mines, miners, and the export of related goods.
