Temple of Arcon

The temple of Arcon is the only place of worship located in Hazegate . It is build in the name of Arcon the Traveler, the deity who presides over trade and travel. This deity was elected to be the main subject of worship due to Hazegate's position as a trade hub and gateway to the rest of the Meydian province.
In addition to Arcon, three other deities are worship to a minor extend in this temple:

• Solus the Bright
• Talos the Chronicalor
• Dedus the Prospector

The temple is built upon the ruins of an old temple used to worship a forgotten god. This gives the inside of the temple a distinct ancient feeling, as its structure is a mixture of the newer building style seen in the rest of Hazegate and the ancient style reminiscent of the many ruins scattered across the province. In the center of the temple lays a shallow pool of water used for cleansing. Behind it lays the alter used to make prayers to Arcon. Altars belonging to the other three deities are scattered across the temple, with the one belonging to Solus being placed in the back of the temple on higher ground. The grand windows part of the sidewall allows for plenty of natural light to be emitted into the temple, leaving little need for candles or other means of lighting.
The temple is managed by one head priestess and three temple maidens. Public prayers are only held on special occasions, as in correspondence with the wider practice of the faith, individuals come to the temple mainly to make offerings to the gods on their own. The temple also functions as an archive of some sorts, due to the minor worship of Talos. As such the priestess and temple maidens serve as well as record keepers to some degree, being expected to learn the tales and myths of the land.
