The Tanking League - Info Post

The first story set in the Hummelverse. A couple of years after the original story was finished, a rewrite has begun and is currently in progress.

Origins

It used to be called "The Hummel Quest". The name comes from the original idea, which was a short story about a Sturmpanzer finding new friends on her quest to become a Hummel. This idea soon evolved and became more complex, and 90k words later, it had grown out of its original concept. The title doesn't really fit anymore, as the story's focus lies somewhere else now, so I decided to change it to "The Tanking League" in April 2018.
At first, the story was "marketed" as a World of Tanks fanfic, but since that game has no lore or plot, I ended up coming up with my own; there are few similarities left.

Plot

The story follows the adventures and misadventures of a team who call themselves the the Tanking League. Starting out as a small group of outcasts, the team eventually grows as more and more members join during their journey. They meet other teams, find allies and enemies.

Adaptions

The original version of the story spawned fanstories that take place in the same world. I also write short stories/oneshots myself every now and then. You can find a collection of those here on World Anvil, and they are also available as an ebook (which contains edited/updated/re-released versions of them).
The Hummelverse also has a trading card game dedicated to it:

An expansion and re-release of the Starter Set with redesigned cards is in the making.
