Krakonia National Institution of Intelligence - KNII

Located in the Core District of Krakonia City , the Krakonia National Institution of Intelligence (KNII) is one of two twin buildings owned by The Scouts Guild of Krakonia(SGK) meant to monitor the kingdom by gathering relevant intel domestically. The other institution, the Krakonia International Institution of Intelligence(KIII) does the same thing, but internationally. Led by Cola Kushola , the KNII is offically dedicated to acquiring data for the official census of The Kingdom of Krakonia , gathering information about the many demographics living in the kingdom, and all of their many needs. Data collection is particularly important in a new society like this one, plus, with The Effects of the Dawn constantly shifting the population, it's imperitive that the kingdom keep up with any shifting tides in its own civilization. Naturally, the KNII also documents each known case of someone appearing within Krakonian territory due to The Effects of the Dawn. They pass this information along to The Mages Guild of Krakonia(MGK) in an attempt to detect any kind of pattern, although this attempt has yet to yield any satisfying results.

Many citizens are aware, or at least assume, however, that the KNII has a secondary, unofficial purpose. All of this data acquisition is simply a front so that the kingdom can peacefully monitor its citizens, gathering the information necessary to keep them safe. In other words, spies report to the KNII about anything suspicious they find so that the kingdom can properly respond to the alleged danger in an efficient manner. Since this monitoring generally occurs on the civilian side of things, it makes some sense as to why the SGK would be involved instead of The Kraken's Reach , even when it's assumed that the Kraken's Reach will be the entity that actually goes and does anything about it. Regardless of these dubious assumptions, most citizens agree, at the very least, that the KNII is a necessary evil to keep everyone safe, especially in a post-war period where everything is uncertain and hostilities are sure to be brewing somewhere.
