Krakonia International Institution of Intelligence - KIII
Located in the Core District of Krakonia City , the Krakonia National Institution of Intelligence (KNII) is one of two twin buildings owned by The Scouts Guild of Krakonia(SGK) meant to monitor the kingdom by gathering relevant intel internationally. The other institution, the Krakonia National Institution of Intelligence(KNII) does the same thing, but domestically. Led by Haldbhar Denkyrdhemsyn , the KIII is mostly responsible for monitoring international trade routes, population censuses of foreign powers, and finding locations where people who appeared due to The Effects of the Dawn first appeared in Requerm . They pass the latter information along to The Mages Guild of Krakonia(MGK) in an attempt to discover a pattern, but no pattern has yet been found.
Most citizens are under the impression that the KIII has a duplicitous, secondary purpose, that of foreign espionage. Much of the data that is gathered is likely used to determine weaknesses in foreign powers, and those that are sent there for data acquisition purposes are likely spies for The Kingdom of Krakonia . It would make sense that a nation built on unifying under a single banner would be invested in destabilizing other regions for their own purposes, although nothing has been proven in that regard as of yet. It's more likely that the KIII uses spies to simply monitor foreign powers in order to ensure that they are not plotting to harm the kingdom in any tangible way. It is for this reason that citizens are generally fine with the idea, since their own safety and security is generally considered more important than the freedom and privacy of foreigners. It is peculiar that a guild is responsible for this alleged endeavor, however, since many would assume this to be the responsiblity of The Kraken's Reach , but perhaps it is precisely for this reason that spies would not want to be associated with such rigid ranks.
