Accomplishments & Achievements
Out of the three Fledgling gods that the Quartet had raised, Y'vitol was the only one who wasn't required to sacrifice his godhood in the creation of The Elsewhere. Though he expended an immense amount of power assisting Alnya when she created the pocket dimension the Elsewhere exists in, lending his Divine Spark in a more nuanced creation of the Earth and Seas. Alnya is a goddess of logic and patterns, she was never able to create the same types of things that the others of the Quartet could. Thus she needed help from Anlyth, Y'vitol, and her son Taneth.
He is proud of the pristine seas and craggy mountain peaks he helped bring into creation. Morality & Philosophy
When you search the dark, you find dark things. A once warlord Scholar turned hesitant Soul, wise and kind, a king of a broken crown.
Taboos
Y'vitol was once a dominating force in the War with the Shadows, a terror on the same level as the actual gods of the Quartet. He was one of only three to ever ascend to godhood along with Anlyth, First Son of Syn and Taneth The Navigator. To say he was a force of nature would be far too humble. Kyln the Great Father, was all too happy that he chose to become the god of the tides and recurrent forces. Like Father like Son, Y'vitol wanted to become more like his God, his Creator, his Father, Kyln was the god Waters, Seas, and Earth. A god of Devotion and endless patience.
When he had learned after The Shattering, that there was a theoretical cure for the Shadow Touched Children, he felt disgusted with his actions during the war. Hundreds of thousands of his brothers, his sisters, the other Children of the Quartet, he took each of their lives in the sole defense of those who were never infected. He had thought he was the one in the right, and he finally understood why The Great Father, The Great Mother, Warmth, and the Queen were so distraught about the killing of their children.
When Gjorn had brough back the information that there was a potential cure, he was skeptical. When Taneth had corroborated this information through the Wayfares, he broke. He vowed to never raise his ax again against another Child, Shadow touched or no. Gjorn had proven by his very existence that the Shadows were much more that the Quartet had ever thought.

When reading the article, I liked the Morality & Philosophy bit. Reminds me of the quote by Nietzsche: And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.
