Anlyth, First Son of Syn

Valkyrie, High Commander, The Second Sun, Pontiff Maximus (a.k.a. Lyth, Heat)

Artifacts

His divine relic is the Sword of Syn, a blade of Pure Sunlight. This has been a tresured artifact of his from the time Syn had given him her sword. This blade has slowly been growing in power the longer Anlyth has held onto it, growing with him as he continues his journey toward Ascention.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Being the closest to ascention before the majority of his people, he is able to create from nothing. During The Creation of The Elsewhere as the Queen had grabbed all uninfected Children in an instant across the entire universe, Anlyth was witnessed to create the Sun that now orbits the collasal floating island that is the Elsewhere's plane of existance. While he needed the collective help of his people, he was able to do so.

He had the undying loyalty of his people, having taken the place as their god in position rather than title, does have its perks. Though he refuses the titles of king or god he truly prefers to be called by his name. Despite this he is only second in authority inside the Elsewhere to the Queen herself. His word is law, his word is truth, should he ask it will be done.

He is also the only one who has the unoffical permission to teach the Divine magic of the Quartet to the rest of the Fairies. The Queen had given him the right, though with the knowledge that there is no possible way to stop individuals from learning it themselves, it is only a matter of time. He is an peerless teacher of the craft, and will happily spent the time to teach all of the Children their ways. He was the one that taught Gjorn Fourth king of Dwarves how to control what the Queen had given him.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Anlyth was the first to wake after creation, witness to the goddess greeting him. Calling him Son, in her wings did the sun rise, in her eyes the boundless optimism of the future. On the world she had made for them, he lead his people (her Children) to build a mighty empire spanning galaxies. When Syn had melded her world with the those of The Quartet, he was the first to greet the other Children with open arms.

First he met with the true creator of the universe, The Great Mother, met her Children and their kingdoms. He had a particular facination with The Great Mother, finding her ability for true creation unfathomable. As her children had much the same ability, however, what really drove his interest was her voice.

He became exceptionally loyal to her and her domains, while he never forsook his people, the intermingling of the Children was something that had always been encouraged by the gods. He helped build their empires, he learned their culture, he grew close to them all. Through his actions, the Fairies and Brownies grew close over time.

Which made it all the more horrifying when the Shadows appeared and attacked the Brownies and Vilorlith with an unholy vengance. Before Syn could react, before Kyln could react, before even the Queen of the Fae could react. Anlyth had mobilzed such an intergalactic response that it breifly overwhelmed the Shadows in their entirety, that was before the Miasma was known about.

Quickly the war fell into disarray, his fear, his anger, his power could do nothing in the face of such overwhelming odds. Felled where the Brownies when VIlorlith was killed. Only then, when they Quartet was tetering on the brink of losing the war, did the Shadows learn what kept the Children so powerful, why they fought with such vehemence. When their eyes burn with same Divine fire as their creators, when the choice is taken from them, when their is no peaceful surrender. Did the world know that Anlyth was the closest thing to becoming a Second Sun in Syn's image.

while he was the first Fairy close to Ascending, he was not the only one. Taneth The Navigator was the Queen's first Acsention before he had to give his godhood to create the Elsewhere along with the Queen. The Giant's had many that were close, the Brownies were nearly all gods near the end. When Syn had given her life to burn away every last infected world except one, she refused to allow all the work they had done be stolen from the Quartet.

He never was given the opportunity to question his Mother's decision. He was refured the opportunity to throw even more of his and his people's might into the fight. He was refused the catharsis of lying besides his fallen brothers. He was ruler to empires stolen from him, he was leader of a now displaced angry refugee people.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

As it sits, with the surviving Children of Syn being secure in the Santuary of The Elsewhere, he maintains his position of High Commander. He has the Legion of Syn constantly pushing their boundaries of power to grow and maintain their Divine Sparks gifted to them by their Mother Syn. He seeks to see his people reach the pinnacle of what they were always meant to be; to join The Quartet in godhood as intended.   Despite being cut off from their Goddess, he has taken the mantle to lead his people. Where Syn lead from the frontlines, where she shone light into the endless dark, so does he. He readies the Legion constantly to prepare for the eventual day when they will take their homeland back from the Shattered Lands. He seeks to undo the damage done during the Dawn of Truths, to aid the Queen of the Fae in rebuilding what was lost.
