MECC Territory
Geography
Post-Storm
The MECC Compound makes up the physical, and metaphorical, heart of MECC Territory. The 4km2 farm is surrounded by the ruins of the Carlington to the West, Dow Lake to the North and East, and more ruined neighbourhoods to the South.History
Pre-Storm
See https://agriculture.canada.ca/en/contact/central-experimental-farm for the Real Life history of the areaPost-Storm
After the MECC Colonists moved into the Central Experimental Farm and claimed it as their Compound, First Minister Victor St-Martin declared the borders of MECC Territory to be Merivale Road to the West, Carling to the North, the far coast of Dow Lake Northeast and East, and Baseline to the South. Most Mecks don't leave the walls of the central Compound, the smaller area of buildings on the shore Dow Lake where Buildings 55, 54 and others are located. The Recovery Department does leave the farm to explore the ruins near the Compound for supplies, but they try to avoid Carleton University, which often houses scavengers with unknown motives.
