The Glasslands

By the late 2010s, Global Warming has caused the Earth's median temperature to rise beyond the point of no return. Large portions of the Arctic and Antarctic Ice Shelves have melted away, severely impacting the planet's weather patterns. A hurricane, named Richard, started to move northward along the Atlantic coast of the Americas and soon grew cover nearly a third of the Atlantic. However, the rain the Storm produced was the true danger. Once the rain started to dry, it turned to glass. The damage caused by the endless rain soon caused a complete collapse of the modern society. Within a few years, new status quos were formed across the world and new civilizations arose to survive the dangers of the Glasslands.
