Session 15: Understanding Each Other and The Citizens of Greed!

General Summary

Understanding Each Other
This session began with an incredible bit of RP amongst the group as everyone discussed how they feel about Kaswink's often uncontrollable transformation and why each of you are personally in the Spirit World doing this expedition. While not everyone opened up about their personal reasoning, some more background was heard from Kaswink, Namina while DAN, Agave and Frode all restated some of the reasons that they had already provided the group previously.   Kaswink divulged to the group for the first time some details about her past and her ancestry. This involved the curse that was first placed upon her family when a relative managed to kill the Oni that had been plaguing her hometown. Despite being defeated, the Oni managed to place one last curse upon her family starting with that very relative whom would eventually snap, give in to the Oni's curse and be hunted and killed by the very townsfolk they had protected.   The curse apparently spread through the generations wiping out all of Kaswink's family and even cursing her in the end. She has managed to keep it under control and keep herself isolated during bad episodes, but knows that her time is running out. She explained that this is why she signed up for the expedition as she hoped to find the Oni or, at the very least, a spirit that can help her find it somewhere in this realm.
Namina also had a bit to get off her chest as she provided some details from her past to the group. She explained that her egg was the last to hatch in that particular season, and that she was almost disposed of... Her mother, however, managed to somehow convince those involved to spare her egg just one more day. Namina was then able to hatch and spread her notoriously nauseating optimism.   She also explained to you all that she was assigned with a very sensitive task. One that involves preserving reality as you all know it, and that if she were to fail or not go on this mission which was assigned to her...well, the world would surely end. She explained that disrupting the life cycle in the way it was at risk of being disrupted was akin to removing a portion of the water cycle, that it just...doesn't work. We need the whole thing, okay?
Towards the end of the discussion involving the life cycle, a concern was brought up by Agave involving the blights that had afflicted some of your homes. Perhaps the disruption of the life cycle is connected in some way?   Hysteria was strangely quiet during all of this...   Cozy background discussions began to wrap up, and Kaswink had a surprise to show everyone! A Resonating Slingshot capable of delivering tiny items to a designated location! Ideal for anyone hoping to store valauble loot away from some mean guy, or to return an item that you don't trust yourself carrying. Goals for the item include also one day being able to launch items at each other in a secure way to make potions and other items more valuable during high tensity situations.   Agave voiced a need for booze around this time, and everyone agreed that a bar might do you all good. You all remembered Croak mentioning a tavern in that Mothlight place, and Kaswink decided to try summoning him by shouting his name really loud. Croak didn't appear...at least not right away. Maybe he'll show up later? But that's okay, Croak Chomsky hopped up to her leg, and after an adorable ribbit he was plucked from the ground and held with the care only a happy frog mom can provide.   This touching moment was interrupted with the sudden realization that someone...or something is headed directly to your camp. A pair of flames could be seen in the distance, one blue and one red. They began to separate into smaller points of light, and as they got closer and closer it became evident that they were two sets of fiery eyes. Many of you decided to try to hide at this realization while DAN and Namina positioned themselves at the center of camp ready to welcome the intruders.
The Citizens of Greed (A Shopping Episode!)
The fiery eyes soon entered your base and the full forms of two human men in matching suits were then seen. You saw that their eyes were burning, little flames like from a candle. One of them had blue flames while the other was more conventionally fire colored. They both appeared to be human, male, wearing suit pants, matching colored shoes and vests, and an off-white shirt with rolled up sleeves. On their backs they each had a backpack with an attached bedroll, clanking pans and utensils, and a multitude of smaller bags strung along the side.   As they entered your camp they announced themselves, a warm and pleasant "Hello!" coupled with a wave and an eager, beaming smile. The smiling and waving salesmen introduced themselves as "Salesman 37" and "Salesman 38" and explained that they are Citizens of Greed here to trade some wares.

Interview! as Transcribed by Wren
Kaswink: Who are you?   S37: I'm Salesman 37, that's 38.   Kaswink: Who do you work for?   S37: We work for the city of Greed and all of its people so that it can be prosperous. We are tasked with our duties by Igniren.   Kaswink: Did you know we were here?   S37: No, not until we found you.   Kaswink: Many citizens of Greed wander around here?   s37: We have 100 salesmen wandering The Gates making sales. We have 100 collectors finding valuables and returning. Those are just the ones that aren't back home.   Kaswink: And back home how many?   S37: Demographics get a bit more intricate at that point. (He does some quick math) 925 citizens. Those are just the ones with specific jobs. The City itself is seemingly endles.   Kaswink: Where is Greed?   S37: Far East of the Badlands.   Namina: What about your eye colors?   S37: We have fire in our eyes in blues and reds. Some of us are completely made of fire, others just have old scars and burns that are lit up.   Namina: You remind me of a candle we saw in the Brain Labyrinth (The Maze). We gave offerings to it! It burned in a similar way your eyes do.   S37: (Explains the candle is a symbol of who they serve)
