Nalir (NAH-leer)

The Nalir are an internal military division of the Itoqir and consist of its regular, unspecialized, non-channeler military, forming the bulk of its forces. In a standard drake it is seen as desirable to have three wings' worth of Nalir.
They are currently overseen by two Jal-Nalir, Mhadan Ghuzneind and Seimbru Telbannor. As of the Season of Opening they are around 20,000 strong, with four of Eba rank and twelve of Prisa rank.
They are typically armed with shortswords, and their helmets are three-peaked.

Culture

Flag: Their flag is a modification of the Itoqir's: an ochre vertical rectangle bordered in gold, with a red, four-winged drake centralized beneath a hollow golden sun, in the center of which is a downward-pointing shortsword over a shield.
