Chronicle City

Chronicle City is the home of the Dwarves, both Mountain Dwarves and Hill Dwarves. There are two primary districts, Chronicle City proper, which is inside the mountain, and considered the capital, and Old Adage, the surface lands surrounding the mountain where the bulk of the population lives, and all of the agriculture lands, ship ports, and so on exists.

Defences

The surface area of Chronicle City does get attacked by Orcish tribes sometimes, and so they've had to create a defense force to combat them. There's also an elite guard protecting the entrance into the mountain, and protecting King Aphorus himself. They use the greatest stone weapons and armor the Dwarves have ever devised, and are drastically better than anything any of the other races have created.

Industry & Trade

The Dwarves have the most sought after merchants in the world. They trade obsidian, stone tools, weapons, and armor, wool clothing, luxury items like crystals and art, and even contract out their Wizards for certain jobs Elvish sorcerers and Druids can't accomplish with their less sophisticated magics.

Infrastructure

Chronicle City is the most advanced city in the world. The Dwarves have proper agriculture, which is what a very high percentage of the Hill Dwarf population tends to. They also have shipyards they use to construct sailing ships, and a large docking area along the Rhetoric River. Inside the mountains there are dozens of levels dug out of the stone, with over 3,000 homes crafted in the walls. The upper most level belongs solely to King Aphorus, and each descending level below that belongs to men and women of gradually lower station. The most basic of common folk live on the bottom levels, which are below ground, and always being dug out to make way for more and more dwarves. Unfortunately, the Dwarves geomancer abilities are less effective the harder a stone gets, and so they struggle digging too far lower.   Much of the Mountain Dwarves engage in geomancer tasks, such as tool, weapon, and armor crafting, or structure building. Most Hill Dwarves do not have these abilities, and those few who do don't seem to be quite as good at them. So for the most part Hill Dwarves engage in shipbuilding, agriculture, tending to herds of animals, and so on. The Hill Dwarves also sheer sheep and have figured out how to knit wool clothing.

Assets

Chronicle City has the greatest stone tools in the world, and they are often sought after by other races. The Dwarves also possess the only real written language, which they've developed to aid them in spellcasting. None of the other races can cast spells into objects requiring runes to be painted or carved, and so Dwarven Wizards are often contracted out by the Elves. The Dwarves also have exclusive access to the Volcano Ode of Obsidian, and therefore have the only real stockpile of Obsidian, which they can use to make amazing tools out of, or just trade the glass on its own.
