King Aphorus
Aphorus is the King of the Dwarves in Chronicle City. He has only been king for a few short years, but so far it has been a prosperous reign, with trade expanding significantly under his leadership, and the wealth of the Dwarven people increasing exponentially.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Aphorus is short for a dwarf, but stocky and strong like much of his Mountain Dwarf kin. He is approaching middle-aged, but still has the youthful energy of a dwarf of 50. He is always well groomed, with a massive golden beard, well oiled and perfumed.

Personal history
Aphorus was born to King Adorus, who ruled as King of the Dwarves for 150 years before his death. Before his father's death, Prince Aphorus was put in charge of the relatively archaic economics of Chronicle City, such as they were. He had many bold ideas, but more often than not was overruled by his father, who could not see the wisdom in making trade with the Elves a common thing. In King Adorus' mind, the Dwarves had the greatest treasures in the world, and it would be foolish to share those with anyone else except under the most extraordinary of circumstances. Prince Aphorus expanded shipbuilding and trading of common items, such as food and pottery, but was held off from trades like gemstones, obsidian, and more sophisticated Dwarven-made stone tools.
Since Aphorus was crowned King, he has significantly expanded trade with not only the Elves, but also with Humans. Some viewed this as weakness and over-generosity, but in the few short years he has been king, Chronicle City has become more wealthy and prosperous than ever before.
