Season 1, Episode 1: "Lockdown" Report
General Summary
The party was startled awake after a series of strange dreams, which showed them worlds that they have never heard of, and great tragedy. Even Skiv had seen something, but after sharing some of the dreams aloud (namely those of Chad , Isra, and Lockette) there were only minor connections that the team could see.
Whatever had happened, there seemed to be a noticeable change in Tesin, as Skittles was more keen on her than usual, and acting quite strangely. While pondering this over breakfast, the new recruit of Mining Team 1 came over to introduce herself - an oddly cheery woman named Pin. She claimed to be an F-class criminal guilty of murder, but argued her innocence, due to a higher power that commanded her to act... Zipper came to recover her before she shared too much, and roll call was announced.
Mining Team 4 and Mining Team 6 were due for mining duty, and arrived on Varos together. They quickly went their separate ways, and the party plotted a decent course into their own mining grounds. Of note, Chad spotted a Raezzar closer to Sauna Station, and after a quick attack from a pack of Igxual, he caught a glimpse of a two-headed variety, which rumor states is the pack's fire-breathing leader.
They found a three-node cluster not long after the scuffle, and successfully removed an A, B, and C-class gemstone (total 9 Bulk). But the feeling of content success did not last long, as Rastelviri arrived in an attempt to steal their spoils. The team barely escaped the initial ambush, and then played a game of cat-and-mouse through the Burning Wastes, with Rastelviri hot on their tails. Once the Station defenses turned him away, the party was surprised to find the outpost empty and unlocked - they had arrived before the Station Elevator, perhaps the guards hadn't closed the door?
This odd situation quickly revealed itself to be an ambush by Skittles, who seemed intent on harming Tesin. He was scared off by the numbers of Mining Team 6, but not before showing that he was in no way threatened - revealing that he is capable of holding two Solarion blades at once. Once the Skittermander had fled (to receive a royal dressing down from Jenny Rosa), the party took the time to explore an unlocked and empty station, discovering many secrets.
It seems the countdown module discovered previously by Lockette indicates a time (roughly 3 weeks from today) in which the Jasper and Sauna will align. At that time, the terminal will drain the Station's battery, overpower the coil guns, and open fire on both orbital stations, destroying both in a single shot. Lockette also discovered that someone has network access to the countdown module, and likely the locks and cameras on the Station... This was all later confirmed by Chad's "gamervision".
Isra discovered a Window that led to the Warden's closet, but decided not to take it. It closed shortly after its discovery. Later, Cornelius replicated the geometry of the Window, without having seen it himself - which Isra previously thought impossible. Meanwhile, Tesin discovered a Confluence Agent stockpile, which contained a broken chest once used to house some kind of warhead, and an accompanying tablet - both of which were missing.
The party barely got everything back into place before the guards arrived, and Jenny gave the team an A-Class gemstone in return for the trouble caused by Skittles. After arriving back on the Sauna, the party collapsed into bed, barely able to process the wealth on information they had been given.
