Ty'chiam (Tie-key-ahm)

Overview

Some say that Ty'chiam is the only place you will never hear your own echo, and that much might be true. It was said to be a town whose denizens were cursed after crossing a witch coven which no one remembers the name of anymore. Bound to an eternity of restless madness. Though the land now technically falls under the domain of the Eastern Trade Company, many of its denizens still not venture very close. The town itself is haunted and it is said that simply wandering through the town can drive someone mad as they listen to the screams of the villagers dying, despite all the time that has passed.

The Curse

The Curse that was bestowed upon the town by a forgotten witches coven is said to have driven the villagers mad to the point where they started attacking each other with whatever they had. Being unable to leave the village, they screamed as they fought each other. Unfortunately, not even in their death did they find peace or rest, the violent act alone being enough to prevent their spirits from passing on, but with the curse to act as an additional anchor, they now remain within the town, unable to find rest until the coven releases them from their torment. When people wander into or perhaps near the town, they will start seeing the villagers out of the corner of their eye and hear the screams of terror, hate, and pain of the villagers from so long ago. How this unimportant small town managed to cross a witch coven is beyond even the most avid of historians.

Layout

The Town itself is quite small with just a few clusters of houses, shops, and an inn or two along a few streets. While not large or very important and mostly dirt paths having marked the well-traveled paths. They were not significant nor along any major trade routes.
